Mrs. Rachel Summers

Welcome to 7th grade ELA. I'm so excited to be your student's teacher this year and be a part of the Bronco family!

My family and I have lived in Louisiana for 3 years and love all the delicious food and wonderful culture. 

We most recently lived in New Mexico, another state with amazing food and culture. We really love to travel. In fact, I have lived in 7 different states and have vacationed in 16 states. I've only been over-seas once. I hope to visit all 50 states and visit as many different countries as possible in my lifetime.

I have over 15 years of teaching and mentoring experience in dance education. In addition to being in and out of the academic classroom for the last 5 years. Prior to this, I was a professional ballerina for 8 years. I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and am currently working on a Masters in Education. 

In my free time, I love to garden, dabble in photography, and of course, dance! My family and I spend every chance we get outside; hiking, swimming, walking...unless it's football season! 

We are going to have a great year!
