It's very important that all students keep up with their own gym suit. If a gym suit or piece of a gym suit is lost, the student should notify the P.E. teacher. The student can bring a t-shirt and/or shorts from home to wear for P.E.. The student will be given a grace period of five days to find or replace the missing suit. One point for each missing piece of gym suit will be deducted from the student's grade during this five day period if they bring something else to wear. After five days, regular point deductions will apply.

EXCUSES

Notes from parents will excuse a student from physical activities for a period of not more than three days. After this time, a medical excuse will be required. Excuses will have the following information:

  1. Reason student cannot participate.
  2. Date/dates student is to be excused and the current date.
  3. Signature of parent or legal guardian.

Students are required to dress out even if they have a note excusing them from physical activities. Students with a parent's note or short-term medical excuse will be given a written assignment to be completed and handed in at the end of the class period. Students with extended medical excuses will be sent to the library to do a health assignment for a weekly grade. If a student has an ongoing medical condition from one school year to the next, a new doctor's note must be given to the student's P.E. teacher during the new school year.
