Our hospitality team is made up of 8th grade students. They help prepare meals and snacks for many activities that go on at school. Some of the activities they have catered include, Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, School Board Meeting, New Teacher Meeting, Teacher Workshops, Veteran's Reception and Faculty Meetings. We are very thankful and proud of these students! |

The MBMS
Hospitality Team won 1st place
in the Port of Lake Charles Rice Cooking Contest. We also
won 1st place in
the heart healthy category. We competed against 19 school
in 3 parishes. We toured the port, met the owner of Tony
Chachere's and met an international chef from Mexico. We
won 200 dollars for our club and many other gifts.

| MBMS Hospitality Team has been busy hosting events here at school. We will be hosting the Veteran Breakfast in the cafeteria. These eighth grade students are student teachers and are helping Mrs. Abshire in the classroom. We recently gained statewide recognition in the October issue of "La. Farm and Ranch". Jourdan Fruge represented us at the Rice Cooking Contest at the Port of Lake Charles, and her picture and story were in the Oct. issue. Reported 11-2-07 |
